1831: Boero begins its course in the sector of the coatings with a small white lead factory in Genoa. Its founder, Bartolomeo Boero, conquer the market with a new philosophy which consists in integrating esthetics (the beauty) into the role of protection of the products painting.
Thus, the swan is selected to symbolize this concept.
The experiment linked with the passion and of the sea gives birth, about 1850, with a " anti-corrosive underwater painting for the boats out of iron, steel and wooden. " After 170 years of existence, Boero became the holding Boero Bartolomeo which, through the various companies of the group, is present on the market of painting in three strategic sectors: building, navy and yachting.
